Make sure the car is stable and well supported at all times. Use a professional automotive lift or jack stands designed for the purpose. A floor jack is not adequate support.
* Screw in lug bolt (48a) across from the brake rotor attachment bolt to secure brake rotor.
Press brake pads back into brake caliper.
Pull off hub cap (9e).
Slacken hexagon socket head screw (9i) and lightly tighten clamping nut (9d) whilst rotating the wheel hub. Then turn clamping nut (9d) back until play is noticeable.
Attach dial gauge (022) to dial gauge holder (015).
Adjust wheel bearing play by turning the clamping nut (arrow) in stages while pushing and pulling the brake disk firmly back and forth.
Tighten Allen bolt (9i), check the wheel bearing end float again.
Remove dial gauge (022) with the dial gauge holder (015.
Reassemble front wheel. Depress brake pedal several times to seat barke pads.
