- Raise car and support safely.
- Remove wheels.
Warning
Make sure the car is stable and well supported at all times. Use a professional automotive lift or jack stands designed for the purpose. A floor jack is not adequate support.
* Screw in lug bolt (48a) across from the brake rotor attachment bolt to secure brake rotor.
- Press brake pads back into brake caliper.
- Pull off hub cap (9e).
- Slacken hexagon socket head screw (9i) and lightly tighten clamping nut (9d) whilst rotating the wheel hub. Then turn clamping nut (9d) back until play is noticeable.
- Attach dial gauge (022) to dial gauge holder (015).
- Adjust wheel bearing play by turning the clamping nut (arrow) in stages while pushing and pulling the brake disk firmly back and forth.
- Tighten Allen bolt (9i), check the wheel bearing end float again.
- Remove dial gauge (022) with the dial gauge holder (015.
- Reassemble front wheel. Depress brake pedal several times to seat barke pads.
