Close trunk lid or liftgate as well as engine hood and
doors

Turn key in ignition switch to position "1".

Press system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly
until the basic display "Kilometer reading" is shown
in the multifunction display (A1p13)

Briefly press variable resistor or dimmer (A1r1) 3
time

An acoustic signal can be
heard and the voltage is shown
in the multifunction display
(A1p13).

Turn key in ignition switch to position "2".

The "Service indicator"
appears in the multifunction
display (A1p13).

Press lower scroll forward/back button (S110s1)

The "Service indicator"
appears in the multifunction
display (A1p13).

Briefly press variable resistor or dimmer (A1r1)
once

The menu "Oil type" for
selecting the specification of
the engine oil used appears in
the multifunction display
(A1p13).

Select the engine oil grade used by pressing the +
and - buttons, setting of specific functions and
volume control (S111s1).

The selection option may vary
depending on the engine:
"Standard", "Qual. 229.3" or
"Qual. 229.5".

Press upper scroll forward/back button (S110s1) to
confirm

"Confirm oil reset, press R
button for 3 s" appears in the
multifunction display (A1p13).

Press and hold variable resistor or brightness control
(A1r1) pressed for 3 s

"Service confirmed" appears in
the multifunction display
(A1p13).

Press upper scroll forward/back button (S110s1)

The "Service indicator"
appears in the multifunction
display (A1p13).

Press upper system selection button (S110s3)

The multifunction display
(A1p13) then shows the basic
display "Kilometer reading or
temperature display" or the
"speed display".

Turn key in ignition switch to position "0".
