Topic: How to change the BMW X3 X-Drive Transfer Case Oil. Fluid change may also require resetting the fault memory and control unit adaptations. Video also shows resetting VTG Transfer Case adaptations using diagnostic scan tool. 

Symptoms may include: 
BMW Fault Code 54c6: Worn Transfer Case Oil (BMW xDrive Transfer Case Fluid) that needs to be replaced. This code may not trigger the illumination of a warning light on the instrument cluster.

  • Transfer case Fluid, BMW p/n: TF 0870 83220397244 (83 22 0 397 244) SAE 75W
  • Sealing ring, BMW p/n: 07119963308 (07 11 9 963 308)
